St. Mary's Episcopal School Wins 2008 Tennessee State
High School Mock Trial Competition
The 2008 Tennessee State High School Mock Trial Competition was held in Nashville March 14-15 at the historic Davidson County courthouse.
Sixteen teams competed for the state championship with St. Mary's Episcopal School of Memphis and Brentwood High School of Brentwood facing each other in the final round. In a closely fought contest,
St. Mary's took first place for the second time in two years. The team will represent Tennessee at the National High School Mock Trial Competition in Delaware May 8-10.

Scoresheet Revisions
The TBA YLD Mock Trial Committee revised the official score sheet in 2006 to make it more user-friendly. The new version also does away with the overall team performance category, as this was the subject of much confusion in prior years when scorers used the box to subtotal scores instead of awarding a separate score. With this change, the revised score sheet has a maximum of 110 points, as opposed to 120 points in prior years. District coordinators are free to use this score sheet during local competitions; however, it is not necessary to do so.
