REBECCA DAWN PERKINS Court:TCCA Attorneys: Charles Deas, Maryville, Tennessee, for the appellant, Rebecca Dawn Perkins. Paul G. Summers, Attorney General and Reporter; Angele M. Gregory, Assistant Attorney General; Michael L. Flynn, District Attorney General; and John Anderson Bobo, Jr., Assistant District Attorney General, for the appellee, State of Tennessee. Judge: WEDEMEYER First Paragraph: The Blount County Grand Jury indicted the Defendant for second degree murder, and following a trial, a Blount County jury convicted the Defendant of reckless homicide. The trial court sentenced the Defendant as a Range I, standard offender to four years for the crime and ordered that she serve her entire sentence in confinement. In this appeal as of right, the Defendant argues that she was improperly sentenced. Specifically, she contests the length of her sentence, and she contends that she should have been granted some form of alternative sentencing. Having reviewed the record, we conclude that the trial court did not err in sentencing the Defendant, and we therefore affirm the sentence imposed. http://www.tba.org/tba_files/TCCA/perkinsrd.wpd Authority to Hire Attorney Date: October 17, 2002 Opinion Number: 02-115 http://www.tba.org/tba_files/AG/2002/OP115.pdf Madison County Constables - Searches Incident to Arrest - Domestic Abuse Date: October 18, 2002 Opinion Number: 02-116 http://www.tba.org/tba_files/AG/2002/OP116.pdf PLEASE FORWARD THIS E-MAIL!
