Taiwan exchange opportunity
Young lawyers between the ages of 25 and 40 who live or work in the eastern portion of Middle Tennessee or the southeast could have an opportunity to visit Taiwan through the Rotary Club's Group Study Exchange. The program funds teams of young professionals from two different countries to exchange visits. For four to six weeks, team members experience the customs and vocational practices of another country, speak to Rotary clubs in the host country and share information about their homeland. The purpose of the program is to promote international understanding and goodwill. Rotary District 6780 (which covers Mt. Juliet to Morristown, down to Chattanooga and over to Tullahoma and Fayetteville) is exchanging teams with Taiwan this year. The American team, led by Cookeville attorney David Day, will visit Taiwan March 14 to April 11, 2010. The Rotary Foundation pays for team members' round-trip airfare and Rotary members in the host country provide meals, lodging and local travel. Team members only have to pay for personal and incidental expenses. For an application or more information, please contact YLD District 6 Representative Rachel Moses at (931) 528-7436 or rmoses@las.org.
