TBALink's Searchable Database
of Tennessee Supreme Court Discretionary Appeals
Includes Actions by Tennessee Supreme Court from January 1, 1999, to the present.
The Tennessee Supreme Court has discretion to accept or deny applications for permissions to appeal from decisions of Tennessee's intermediate appellate courts. The Rules of the Tennessee Supreme Court (Rule 4), the Tennessee Court of Appeals (Rule 12), and the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals (Rule 19) each require that citations to unpublished appellate decisions include a notation as to the disposition of any requests for discretionary appeals.
This database compiles the lists of decisions issued periodically (usually weekly) by the Supreme Court, indicating action on discretionary appeals.
All decisions on such appeals made since January 1, 1999, are included in the database.
