Model Firm Pro Bono Policies
The TBA Access to Justice Committee has collected a number of sample pro bono policies and developed a model policy that reflects the elements possible for a number of different types of pro bono policies. This model policy, as developed by the Access to Justice Committee and approved by the TBA Board of Governors, is set out below, as are a number of the policies the Committee looked at in developing its model policy.
It is the hope of the Committee that the sample language reflected in these policies will make it unavoidably easy for law firms to take up the Chief Justice’s Pro Bono Challenge and to adopt formal pro bono policies.
TBA Access to Justice Committee Model Pro Bono Policy: This model Pro Bono Policy was developed by the Tennessee Bar Association's Acess to Justice Committee after reviewing many model polices from other cities and states.
Proposed Model Policy: This Washington State Model Pro Bono Policy is one of the model policies the Acess to Justice Committee reviewed in developing its sample policy.
Proposed Model Policy: This Philadelphia Model Pro Bono Policy is one of the model policies the Acess to Justice Committee reviewed in developing its sample policy.
