Part 1: Appellate Practice CLE: What the Appellate Advocate Wants, Needs and Expects from Trial and Appellate Judges Panel Discussion and Simulated Oral Argument. Produced by Mark Fulks, Senior Counsel and Appellate Team Leader in the Criminal Justice Division of the Tennessee Attorney General's office, the session will also feature Ross Dyer from the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office in Memphis; Nashville attorney David Raybin;  and Memphis Criminal Court Judge Mark Ward.

Part 2: Presentation of ‘Before Atticus said Yes’ a play regarding the discussions prior to Atticus Finch’s acceptance of the appointment to represent Tom Robinson. The play will be followed by panel discussion about bringing one’s own values to the practice of law, the reliance of the appropriate function of the judicial system on the acceptance of pro bono work and the obligations under the rules of professional conduct to engage in pro bono work.
Producers for the program are Legal Aid of East Tennessee Executive Director David Yoder and Andy Branham, director of the Memphis office of Counsel On Call. Both serve on the TBA Attorney Wellbeing Committee.
