Corporate Council Pro Bono Initiative Award nomination

Nominations due February 1, 2013

The Tennessee Bar Association is pleased to announce that it is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Initiative Awards.

The law firm and corporate legal department selected as recipients will be the nominees "best exemplifying extraordinary commitment to access to justice ideals, pro bono service and the Corporate Counsel Covenant of Service."

Corporate Counsel Covenant of Service

As a corporate attorney, I recognize my ethical obligation of service to the community and to provide pro bono legal services to the poor and underserved.

In order to honor this obligation, I covenant and agree to endeavor to fulfill these obligations:
• By personal representation of pro bono clients;
• By financial support of pro bono causes;
• By encouraging other lawyers within my company to do the same;
• By working with outside counsel to do the same and to make commitment for and support of pro bono work a factor in the selection and retention of outside counsel.

The recipients will be chosen by a selection panel and will be announced during the 2013 Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Initiative Gala to be held March 2 in Nashville.
