This year's annual program will focus on key issues for advanced family law practitioners. Issues will address mental health records, piercing the psychotherapist-patient privilege, how to keep psychological records from coming out, supervised parenting time, and phased-in parenting time. Psychologists will discuss mental health disorders and when those disorders are harmful to children, various addictions and how do they manifest themselves and how best to monitor addicts. Attendees will also hear from judges on the amended statute on maximizing parenting time, ordering disclosed mental health records and qualified protective orders. The judges will also discuss the use of parenting coordinators and when to ask for a guardian ad litem. Tips for trial practice and drafting court documents will be reviewed. Topics on several aspects of evaluations will be addressed, such as: Differences between DSM IV and DSM V, APA Guidelines for custody evaluations, forensic evaluations, and independent mental heal evaluations. Don't miss this opportunity to gather with attorneys who practice in this area.
