 For decades, recording artists and songwriters have routinely used so-called “Loan-Out” companies to minimize both taxes and exposure to personal liability. But in doing so, could they have inadvertently nullified their statutory termination rights under the Copyright Act? This program will examine the use of “Loan-Out” companies in the music industry and explore how their use may impede copyright recapture.
