2013 State Mock Trial Championship

Scenes from the final round

Friends and family of The Kingsport Area Christian Home Education Association (KACHEA) and Montgomery Bell Academy mock trial teams gathered March 16 for the championship round of the Tennessee State High School Mock Trial Competition at the Davidson County Courthouse. The final round of the competition capped off a two-day event, in which every team competing for the state title participated in four preliminary rounds. The top two teams faced off at the final round, which was presided over by Tennessee Supreme Court Justice William Koch and scored by members of the TBA Young Lawyers Division's Executive Committee. The Kingsport team ultimately prevailed and will represent the state of Tennessee at the National High School Competition in May.
