Matt Potempa

A graduate of the University of Memphis, and the University of Arkansas Law School, Matt Potempa has also studied at Edinburgh Law School in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the University College Dublin School of Law in Dublin Ireland.

As a solo practictioner, Potempa has been actively involved in professional and community organizations locally and nationally. He has held a number of posts with the American Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, earning a nomination as ABA National Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2010 and holding the post of ABA National Public Service Project Coordinator from 2011 to 2012. In Tennessee he has served on the TBA's CLE Committee and the Young Lawyers Division Board. He also served as the Nashville Flood Disaster Legal Services Coordinator in 2010.

Potempa has also been active in the community, serving as a board member and officer for the Phoenix Club of Nashville with Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, and Fifty Forward, a Nashville-based Nonprofit devoted to enriching the lives of adults 50+. This and other work has earned Potempa recognition from the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce as an Emerging Leader
