Chris McCarty

Chris W. McCarty earned his law degree in 2006 from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Prior to attending law school, he spent two years teaching eighth grade U.S. history. He now practices law with Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop PC in Knoxville and focuses his work in the areas of employment law, education law and general civil litigation -- representing clients before the Tennessee Human Rights Commission, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Though most of his practice centers on litigation, he also helps clients draft employee handbooks and develop drug and alcohol policies. Given his background in education, McCarty also has made representation of school boards a key component of his practice, having advised the Sevier County, Bristol City and Bradley County boards.
