The D.C. Bar Pro Bono Program has an immediate opening for the position of Executive Director. This position provides leadership, management and vision for a multifaceted pro bono program that delivers civil legal services to thousands of individuals and community-based nonprofits each year.

Duties: Along with the Pro Bono Committee, the executive director leads the Pro Bono Program in accordance with the bar’s strategic plan and the highest standards for the delivery of civil legal services. Key responsibilities include: Providing day-to-day leadership of the program’s staff; Coordinating and regularly evaluating the program’s activities; Directing outreach efforts to draw lawyers into pro bono work; Managing the development and implementation of annual plans and priorities; Managing the development of an annual budget and diverse fundraising plan, and managing the program to accomplish goals with available resources; Representing the program to outside organizations and the media; and Advising the CEO on organizational and strategic issues and helping develop bar policies and procedures.
