Tennessee law gives you the right to refuse medical treatment. Two legal papers can help you protect this right, even if you become too sick to speak for yourself. But, you must sign the papers while you are still able. The two papers are a Living Will and a Durable Power Of Attorney For Health Care. These two papers work together, so its a good idea to have both.
