Chattanooga Lawyer, Law Prof Named ‘Woman of Distinction’

The American Lung Association of Tennessee has named Carol Mutter as a 2013 Woman of Distinction. The mayor of Lookout Mountain has a long and varied career as a lawyer, clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, working in private practice, and teaching for 30 years at the University of Tennessee College of Law. She also authored a comprehensive work on comparative fault and lectured extensively at legal education programs. Among her volunteer work, Mutter served as chair of the TBA Health Law Section and chair of the Insurance Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools.
