Montgomery County Lawyer Censured

Montgomery County lawyer Christopher Wayne Barber received a public censure from the Tennessee Supreme Court on March 19 for practicing law while his license was suspended, charging an unreasonable fee, and failing to notify his client that his license to practice law had been suspended. The court found these actions violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), 1.5 (fees), 5.5 (unauthorized practice of law), and 8.1(b) (bar admission and disciplinary matters).
