YLD Honors Members at Leadership Event

During the TBA's 2014 Leadership Conference, the YLD Board met for its Winter Meeting. During the event, YLD President David McDowell presented Star of the Quarter awards to five young lawyers, Membership & Law School Outreach Vice Chair Nathan Shelby recognized law students serving as TBA liaisons on their respective campuses, and Children’s Issues Chair Katrina Atchley Arbogast presented the 2014 CASA Volunteer of the Year Award, as well as a commemorative look back at 10 years of honoring CASA volunteers across the state. McDowell (right) presents a Star of the Quarter Award to Chattanooga lawyer Justin Faith for his work as editor of the YLD's publication Tennessee Young Lawyer. Also recognized was Publications Chair Chaz Molder, who assisted with the effort, but was not in attendance. He practices in Columbia.

McDowell (right) presents a Star of the Quarter Award to Memphis lawyer Steven King for his work organizing the YLD's recent Transactional CLE in Memphis. King serves as West Tennessee Captain on the YLD CLE Committee. Also recognized was Murfreesboro lawyer Tommy Santel, chair of the committee, who was not in attendance. He organized the CLE in Nashville.
