Continuing Legal Education

Beginning on September 3, 2015, the Tennessee Bar Association is offering a web-based training for practitioners who encounter foreign national unaccompanied minors. Under U.S. Immigration Law, an “unaccompanied minor” is defined as a child present in the United States without one or both parents. Once released to a family member by the Department of Homeland Security, these children face significant legal challenges in applying for a visa to remain in the U.S.
