29th Annual TBA Academy

The Tennessee Bar Association Academy offers an exciting opportunity for Tennessee attorneys to be admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and network with some of the nation’s leading appellate practitioners.  Arrangements have been made for a private U.S. Supreme Court swearing in ceremony for Tennessee attorneys on Tuesday, Nov. 27. In addition, a block of hotel rooms have been reserved at The Mayflower Renaissance hotel for the program.

Court admissions: To participate in the Admissions Ceremonies at the Supreme Court, your registration form and materials must be received by the TBA before Oct. 15, 2012, to meet U.S. Supreme Court filing deadlines. $595 for TBA Members
$750 for non-members (includes TBA membership through June 2013)
$225 for each guest

• Celebration Dinner, location to be announced.

Tuesday November 27
• Breakfast at U.S. Supreme Court
• Admission ceremony to U.S. Supreme Court
• Group picture on steps of U.S. Supreme Court
• Group lunch and tour

Hotel reservations: While in Washington for the TBA Academy, you will be staying at The Mayflower Renaissance Hotel, located in the heart of the district at 1127 Connecticut Ave NW. The main number for the hotel is 202-347-3000. The Tennessee Bar Association has secured a block of rooms at the special discounted rate of $199 a night for single or double accommodations. Guests: Bring along a guest to share in the experience. The $225 guest fee covers attendance at the President's Reception, Celebration Dinner, and breakfast at the United States Supreme Courthouse.
