Gala Provides Support for Pro Bono Projects Across Tennessee

The 11th Annual Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Initiative Gala will be hosted in Nashville on March 4, 2017. The initiative has raised over $500,000 through sponsorships.

Find out how to become a Gala sponsor or volunteer to work on the 2017 Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Initiative. Contact TBA Access to Justice Coordinator Liz Todaro.

This year, you can join the corporations and law firms from across the state and the nation who stepped forward to support this initiative. Money raised through the events has been used for a series of outreach events held around the state, from Kingsport to Memphis. These events provided networking opportunities and offered in-house and law firm corporate counsel information about how they could become involved in pro bono work locally.

The money raised has also already funded corporate counsel pro bono project grants across the state. The projects offer in-house and corporate lawyers specific pro bono opportunities tailored to their situations, skills and interests and facilitate partnerships among corporate legal departments, law firms, access to justice and other community service organizations to help meet local legal service gaps.
