I am a third year student at the University of Tennessee College of Law. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in Political Science and Criminology, graduating in December 2010, summa cum laude. I am also committed to creating equal access to justice in our communities. As a first year, I received the award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service as a First Year Student for my service in founding the CASA's VOLunteers pro bono program. Currently, I serve as the Director for the UT Pro Bono Program. I have volunteered with the Department of Children's Services, Legal Aid of East Tennessee at the Family Justice Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. I also worked with the Guardian ad Litem program in Alachua County, Florida, as an undergraduate at the University of Florida. I am dedicated to the community of Tennessee lawyers and the University of Tennessee College of Law. This Fall, I served as the spokesperson for UT Law's Direct Mail Alumni Campaign. I also serve as the Historian for Law Women and the Candidacy Process Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law & Policy. Last year I competed both in the Advocate's Prize Moot Court Competition, where I received the award for 2nd Best Brief, and on the American Associate for Justice Mock Trial Team.
