Brian C. Frye graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in History. He attended law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with a concentration in Business Transactions in 1998. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, and he has worked as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of East Tennessee since 2002. He helps provide free legal help in civil legal matters to low income people, victims of domestic violence, and elderly people in ten counties in southeastern Tennessee. He is on the board of directors of the local Hispanic group La Paz Chattanooga, and he conducts outreach activities in the local Chattanooga community. He is a past president of the Chattanooga Trial Lawyers Association. He is on the board of directors of the Chattanooga Homeless Coalition. He is a graduate of the Leadership Chattanooga program, Class of 2009, and he is also a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law program, Class of 2011.
