The Elder Law Practice was pleased to welcome its second attorney, Brooke Givens in August of 2011. Brooke was born in Knoxville and grew up on a farm in Blount County.  Following graduation from Webb School in 1997, she attended Washington University in St. Louis where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Following several years of work as a psychiatric research assistant, and then as a software trainer, Brooke determined to pursue her law degree. She graduated cum laude from the UT College of Law in May 2011 and was admitted to the Bar in October 2011.

Brooke is quite active in our community and serves on the Planned Giving Council of Alzheimer’s Tennessee and is on the Board of Directors of the Principle Project, a non-profit organization which strives to support educational opportunities for students who struggle in traditional academic settings. She also serves on the Trustee’s Committee for Alcoa First United Methodist Church.

Brooke and her husband, Jeff, became parents in December 2010 with the birth of their daughter, Willow. Brooke enjoys traveling, movies, spending time with family and friends, and she especially enjoys spoiling Willow.

Estate planning, estate administration, conservatorship and guardian ad litem services are Brooke’s primary areas of focus in our practice.
