Charlie McDaniel serves as Pro Bono Project Director for Legal Aid of East Tennessee in Chattanooga.  A native of North Carolina, Charlie grew up in the mountains surrounding Asheville before receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 2009, after receiving his J.D. from the University Of Memphis School Of Law. Charlie is also admitted to the Federal bar for the East District of Tennessee and is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations. Currently Charlie serves on the Pro Bono Committee of the Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission; the Access to Justice Committee of the TBA, and is editor of the TBA’s Volunteer Attorney Newsletter; the Executive and Steering Committees of the Chattanooga Family Justice Center; the Justices Ray L. Brock Jr. and Robert E. Cooper American Inn of Court, as an associate member; and is active in the administration of the Erlanger Health Law Partnership in Chattanooga. Charlie recently received the 2014 New Advocate of the Year Award, given by the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services and has been admitted into the 2015 Tennessee Bar Associations Leadership Law class.
