An attorney in the Nashville area at Barker Nashville, PLLC, Christian practices in the areas of entertainment, copyright, and trademark law. Outside of his practice, he serves as Adjunct Professor of Business at Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee and an independent higher education consultant (specializing in the creation of new online educational programming for small colleges). In May of 2012, Christian received the degree of Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. During his time at Stetson Law, he received the William Blews Service Award for his dedication to pro bono work and participated in a year-long Intellectual Property Exchange through the University of New Hampshire School of Law's Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property in Concord, New Hampshire. Music has had a contant presence in his life, and finally brought him to Music City, USA in August of 2012. He grew up in East Tennessee--traveling as much as possible to Nashville--and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in English Literature back in 2005. In the summer of 2009, Christian completed a Master of Business Administration at Stetson and in 2011, he received a Master of Environmental Law and Policy, Cum Laude, from Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vermont (another passion for another time). Entertainment law and intellectual property (songwriter's rights in particular) are Christian's passions, along with a fascination with and draw to higher education administration. He also enjoys teaching college students, young and old, about the fundamentals of business, as he has strong interests in business entrepreneurship and real estate development.
