Edmund is a partner in the firm’s appellate practice group. His practice focuses on handling appeals and drafting dispositive motions on virtually any type of legal issue. He also regularly assists clients with post-trial briefing and advises them about the prospects of success on appeal. Edmund has handled appeals in numerous federal and state courts involving a variety of matters, including ERISA, insurance, contract, intellectual property, bankruptcy, product liability, federal preemption, the Federal Tort Claims Act, qualified immunity, federal and state constitutional issues, consumer fraud, antitrust, financial services, the Federal Arbitration Act, and the Federal Employers Liability Act. He also handles oral arguments for clients before federal and state courts of appeal. Before joining Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, Edmund worked in the appellate group at Mayer Brown in Washington, D.C. He also served as Deputy General Counsel to Kentucky Governor Steven L. Beshear, representing the Governor in federal and state courts and helping coordinate executive-branch litigation. A Fulbright and Truman Scholar, Edmund clerked for two judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit: Judges Jane B. Stranch and Boyce F.
