Gordon Boutwell joined the Lodestone Legal Group PLLC in 2011 and spearheads the firm's bankruptcy and consumer advocacy practice while also assisting in small business and estate planning matters.

Gordon represents a variety of clients in a wide range of bankruptcy matters in federal court.  He has managed complex consumer and business Chapter 7 and 13 cases, and has experience protecting and asserting creditors' rights in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 proceedings. Additionally, Gordon advises individuals and small businesses in proficiently resolving financial disputes with creditors and their representatives.  He has significant experience in negotiating debt settlements and repayment plans.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gordon lives a stone’s throw away from downtown Franklin with his wife, Holly, and twin daughters, Lilley and Grace. When not in the office, you can find him running on a local trail or in the kitchen making a roux for gumbo.


Gordon earned his law degree in 2006 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2006. In law school, he was a two-time member of the National Mock Trial Team, a contributing member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award. Gordon earned his bachelor's in science in Political Science and Communication Studies from Vanderbilt University in 2003.
