Outside of work, I am a member of the Civil Air Patrol, which is the Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. The traditional mission of CAP has been Air Search & Rescue, but in recent years it has expanded to include Disaster Relief activity, Airborne Photography and other activities. I am a rated Mission Observer and am working on becoming a Mission Pilot. I am Commander of Group IV of the Tennessee Wing, which is generally the area west of the Tennessee River and currently contains six squadrons. I am also one of two Legal Officers for the Tennessee Wing, which is also my pro bono work.
