Joshua Phillips is a member of the litigation and financial services practice groups. His practice concentrates on complex business and commercial disputes, enforcement of non-competes, healthcare litigation, products liability defense, and representing financial institutions and mortgage companies in civil litigation matters. With regard to the financial services work, Josh has defended claims asserting violations of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), and state law claims arising from foreclosures and modifications.

Prior to joining Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, Mr. Phillips worked one year as a law clerk to Chief Justice William M. Barker of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Mr. Phillips is a 2002 graduate of Duke University with a B.S. degree in Economics. He received his J.D. degree summa cum laude in 2006 from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was named to the Order of the Coif.
