Sheree C. Wright is a Senior Associate General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.  Ms. Wright received both her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, and her law degree from Vanderbilt University, where she became a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  Her practice focuses on all areas of employment law, including advice on matters involving faculty, house staff, postdocs, research fellows, and staff, as well as legal ethics, student issues and special projects.   Ms. Wright regularly conducts training for faculty, residency program directors, chief residents, and staff.   

Ms. Wright has produced and spoken at numerous seminars on various topics, such as legal ethics and employment law, for the Nashville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.  She has received the Nashville Bar Association CLE Excellence Award.  In addition, she is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility and was a part of the team selected to argue on behalf of the TBA for the adoption of the Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct.

She was President of the Board of Directors of the Nashville Bar Association in 2006, and has served as Chair for the Continuing Legal Education Committee and Chair of the Corporate Counsel Committee for that organization.  She also served on the Board of Directors of the Lawyer’s Association for Women, is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, a member of the American Bar Association, and was selected to receive a Fellowship from the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law.  She is a Nashville Bar Foundation Trustee, and a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.  Ms. Wright was also a "Master" in the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court.
