Attorney Siew-Ling Shea has been with the law firm of Rogers, Kamm & Shea since May 2001, first as a paralegal and then as an attorney. Ms. Shea was raised in Singapore and came to the United States for her undergraduate studies at Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, as a scholarship student. She later transferred to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Michigan, and obtained her bachelors degree there with a double major in Communication and Sociology. Ms. Shea graduated with honors from the paralegal program at Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Nashville, Tennessee (ABA approved) and worked as a paralegal in the non-profit health care sector and in domestic law. Her diverse background includes public relations, marketing, and project management. Ms. Shea graduated from the Nashville School of Law in the top 10% of her class and is a member of The Honorable Society of Cooper’s Inn. Ms. Shea is licensed to practice law in the State of Tennessee and is a Rule 31 Listed Civil Mediator. Ms. Shea is also trained in collaborative law and recently completed training as a lawyer-to-lawyer mentor. Ms. Shea brings a wealth of experience in preparing cases for mediation and trial. Additionally, she has researched and drafted several persuasive appellate briefs in cases which have made law in Tennessee. Ms. Shea is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, Williamson County Bar Association, Robertson County Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association. Her article, "When a Child's Best Interests Are At Issue: Privacy of Mental Health Records in Divorce and Custody Proceedings" is in the July 2013 edition of the Tennessee Bar Journal.
