Licensed in South Carolina and Tennessee, Mr. Lewis has practiced law for seventeen years. He holds the highest attorney peer rating (AV) by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 1991, graduating a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lewis worked at King World Productions in Los Angeles, California followed by a year of teaching Middle East Politics at Walwourth Barbour American International School in Kfar Shmaryahu, Israel. In 1995, Mr. Lewis earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal and the Order of Wig and Robe. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and all South Carolina State Courts. He is a past member of the South Carolina House of Delegates (Ninth Judicial Circuit). After twelve years at a large regional law firm and four subsequent years at a small boutique law firm, his current law practice focuses upon entertainment law, intellectual property law, financial institutions, and aviation. Beginning August, 2013, Mr. Lewis will be teaching a course entitled Legal Issues in the Entertainment Industry at College of Charleston. Mr. Lewis also is a professional musician, pilot, two time Ironman Triathlon finisher, former Division I NCAA college baseball player for The University of South Carolina Gamecocks, and former Teaching Intern of Middle Eastern Politics and World History at the Walworth Barbour American International School in Kfar Shmaryahu, Israel.
