NASHVILLE, Jan. 4, 2008 — The Tennessee Bar Association has announced its 2008 Leadership Law class. The six-month program is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities. This year's class of 35 attorneys was chosen from across the state. 

NASHVILLE, Jan. 13, 2007 — Four attorneys who contributed thousands of hours of their time to public service were recently honored by the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA) at its annual public service luncheon. Held as part of the association’s leadership conference, the luncheon took place in the state capitol rotunda and featured award winners in several categories as well as a keynote address by Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell.

NASHVILLE, May 1, 2006 -- Catherine Fields of Signal Mountain has won first place in a Law Day Essay Contest sponsored by the Tennessee Bar Association. A rising 11th grader at Girls Preparatory School, Fields won second place in the same contest in 2005.

NASHVILLE, March 18, 2006 — Knoxville’s West High School won the state championship mock trial competition today, defeating Memphis’ St. Mary’s Episcopal School in the 26th annual Tennessee State High School Mock Trial Competition. Team member Jennifer Camfield was named Best Defense Advocate and Ian Orr was chosen as the team’s most valuable player. The West team will represent Tennessee at the National Mock Trial Competition in Oklahoma City, May 11-13.
