NASHVILLE, June 22, 2010 — Seven Tennessee lawyers were named fellows of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (TBA YLD) during the association's annual convention this month in Nashville. The TBA's incoming president, Sam Elliott of Chattanooga, also was inducted as an honorary member of the group.

NASHVILLE, June 3, 2010 — A select group of Tennessee lawyers was honored for their work in serving the legal profession and the public during today's Lawyers Luncheon at the Tennessee Bar Association convention in Nashville. Award recipients include Nashville Judge Barbara Haynes, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, Nashville attorney Steve Cobb, Chattanooga lawyers T. Maxfield (Max) Bahner and S. Spencer Elg, Knoxville lawyer Sarah Sheppeard and Memphis lawyer Brian Fauhgnan.

NASHVILLE, June 1, 2010 — Memphis lawyer Danny Van Horn will take office Thursday as president-elect of the Tennessee Bar Association at the association's annual convention in Nashville. The move puts him in line to assume the presidency in June 2011 as the youngest member of the TBA to hold that office.

NASHVILLE, May 27, 2010 — With the governors' race in Tennessee wide open and party primaries set for Aug. 5, the Tennessee Bar Association's Gubernatorial Forum next week is a key opportunity for the candidates to share their positions on issues of concern to the Tennessee legal community. All four major candidates have committed to participate in the event on Friday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville. Well-known political observer Pat Nolan will moderate the forum.
