Adivorcewasawardedtotheappelleefatherbecauseoftheinappropriatemaritalconductoftheappellantmother,whichshedoesnotquestion. Wedonotbelieveawrittendiscussionoftheconductoftheappellantwouldbeproductive.Itissufficienttoobservethathermeretriciousconductisadmitted,andthatshepersistedinactsofsalaciousnessafteragreeingnottodoso.TheagreementwasintheformofaConsentOrder,pursuanttowhichsheagreednottoentertainmeninthemaritalresidence;itwaspromptlyandflagrantlybreachedanddisdained.TheChancellordeterminedthattheappellant'slackofmaturityandherconsuming,visceralneedtobe"happy,"regardlessofallconsequences,adverselyaffectedherparentalfitness. Thepartiesweremarriedin1987,andthechildwasbornSeptember20,1989.Atthetimeofmarriage,thehusbandwas20,thewife19.Neitherwasmarriedpreviously.Eachisgainfullyemployed,thewifeasadentalhygienist,andthefamilymembersaresupportive.TheappellantarguesthattheChancellorplacedtoomuchcondemnatoryrelianceonhersexualescapadeswitholdermarriedmen,andwiththeviolationoftheConsentOrder.Sheurgesusthatsheisaswellsuitedtohavecustodyofhersonasishisfather,becausenoneofherimmoralbehavioroccurredinthepresenceofherson.Thisargumentbegsthequestion. TheoverridingconcernoftheCourtisandmustbethewelfare,thatis,thebestinterestofthechild.Hollowayv.Bradley,230S.W.2d1003(Tenn.1950),andscoresofcasessubsequent.Thissalutaryprincipleevolvedthroughtheyearsfromalegionofcasesdecidedbyexperiencedjuristswhosaw,firsthand,theperilsvisiteduponchildrenwhosewelfarewassubordinatedtolesserconcerns.Inherentindoingwhatisbestforachild,indoingtherightthing,requiresabalancingofthecustodialqualitiesofeachparent,sometimesreferredtoasacomparativetest.See,Bahv.Bah,668S.W.2d663(Tenn.App.1983).Onacomparativebasis,whichtheChancellorapplied,therewasnocontest,becausetheevidenceclearlyrevealedthattheappellantwasmoreconcernedwithher"happiness,"thatis,withhersexualencounters,andwithherinamorati,thanwithherson.Werecognizethatanisolatedindiscretiondoesnotnecessarilyreflectonaparent'sfitness,Sutherlandv.S%  utherland,831S.W.2d%  Ԁ283(Tenn.App.1991),butwearenotheredealingwithanisolatedencounter.Moreover,weagreewiththeChancellorwhowasoftheopinionthattheappellant'sdisdainandflagrantdisregardofanOrdernottoentertainmeninthefamilyresidencetowhichshehadagreedwasreflectiveofherimmaturityandirresponsibilitytothepointofrenderingherpresentlyunfittoparent,especiallywhenarrayedagainsttheparentalqualitiesofthefather.
