InJanuaryorFebruaryof1985,theDefendantdemolishedthePlaintiffshouselocatedat409CambridgeStreetinMemphis,Tennessee.ThePlaintifftestifiedthathewasoutoftownwhenthedemolitionoccurredandthathereceivednonoticefromtheDefendantofthecondemnationofhisproperty.ThePlaintiffstatedthatthepropertyinquestionwasinheritedfromhisgrandmotherand wasinprobateatthetimeofthecondemnation. TheGovernmentalTortLiabilityActprovidesthatanyactionbroughtagainsta7߰XXdXXd7governmentalentityoftheStateofTennessee mustbecommencedwithintwelvemonthsafterthecauseofactionarises.T.C.A.2920305(b).BecausethePlaintiffspropertywasdemolishedinJanuaryorFebruaryof1985andbecausethePlaintifffiledsuitonJuly13,1992,theoneyearstatuteoflimitationsundertheGovernmentalTortLiabilityActbarsthePlaintiffscauseofaction.
