Ðapproximately€50€„€50€by€the€Trial€Court€without€objection€on€appeal.€€Over€the€most€recent€decadeÐ $X" Ðof€this€marriage,€Husband€maintained€a€very€high€standard€of€living€involving€vacations,€hobbies,Ð ô$D # Ðtravel,€frequent€restaurant€meals€and€the€like,€while€Wife€remained€on€the€family€farm€and€livedÐ à%0!$ Ðð ðsimply,ðð€with€her€most€expensive€habit€being€the€keeping€of€numerous€farm€and€domestic€animals.€Ð Ì&"% ÐThe€record€shows€that€Wife€made€significant€contributions€to€the€marriage€as€homemaker€and€setÐ ¸'#& Ðup€housekeeping€for€the€family€at€numerous€different€locations€in€keeping€with€Husbandððs€careerÐ ¤(ô#' Ðneeds.€€While€not€determinative,€it€is€also€clear€from€the€record€that€the€Trial€Court€properlyÐ )à$( Ðdetermined€Husband€to€be€the€party€at€fault€in€this€divorce.€€Ð |*Ì%) ÐÐ h+¸&* Ðà  àà ` àAs€to€the€statutory€factor€requiring€the€court€to€assess€the€needs€and€earning€capacitiesÐ ° Ðof€the€parties,€the€record€shows€that€Husbandððs€earnings€for€the€five€years€immediately€precedingÐ œì Ðtrial€were€in€excess€of€one€million€dollars€and€averaged€almost€$205,000€per€year.€€During€that€entireÐ ˆØ Ðfive„year€period,€Wife€earned€less€than€$2,000.€€€The€record€shows€that€she€is€ill„equipped€to€resumeÐ tÄ Ðher€former€career€as€an€Executive€Secretary€because€she€lacks€any€training€or€experience€in€usingÐ `° Ðcomputers,€and€she€has€no€interest€in€returning€to€that€career.€€Although€she€has€minimal€experienceÐ L œ Ðas€a€waitress,€she€testified€that€she€can€no€longer€do€heavy€work€due€to€bilateral€carpal€tunnelÐ 8 ˆ Ðsyndrome.€€Wife€has€worked€on€the€family€farm,€but€there,€she€employs€a€laborer€to€help€with€theÐ $ t Ðchores.€€The€farm€has€operated€at€a€loss€for€each€of€the€five€years€immediately€prior€to€trial,€and€thereÐ  ` Ðis€no€evidence€in€the€record€to€indicate€that€it€has€ever€generated€income€or€was€ever€intended€to€doÐ ü L  Ðso.€€Wife€testified€vaguely€that€she€would€like€to€become€a€counselor,€but€she€had€no€specific€planÐ è 8  Ðand€had€no€idea€what€kind€of€education€or€licensing€would€be€required€to€accomplish€this.Ð Ô$  ÐÌà  àà ` àWhile€all€relevant€factors€mentioned€above€must€be€considered,€need€and€the€abilityÐ ¬ü  Ðto€pay€are€the€critical€factors€in€setting€the€amount€of€an€alimony€award.€€òòAndertonóó,€988€S.W.2d€atÐ ˜è  Ð683.€€Discussing€theò ò€ó ópurposeò ò€ó óof€alimony,€this€Court€has€held€that:Ð „Ô  ÐÌà8  àà8` Ð Ð à[t]he€purpose€of€spousal€support€is€to€aid€the€disadvantaged€spouse€toÐ `° Ðbecome€and€remain€self„sufficient€and,€when€economic€rehabilitationÐ Lœ Ðis€not€feasible,€to€mitigate€the€harsh€economic€realities€of€divorce.Ð8ˆ` x` x ÐÌòòId.óó€at€682.€€€Applying€these€familiar€principles€of€law,€we€find€that€economic€rehabilitation€is€notÐ ` Ðfeasible€in€this€case,€and€therefore,€the€€Trial€Court€properly€awarded€Wife€alimony€in€futuro.€€WeÐ üL Ðfind€no€error€in€the€Trial€Courtððs€determination€as€to€the€amount€of€alimony€awarded€to€Wife.€Ð è8 ÐAccordingly,€we€modify€the€Judgment€of€the€Trial€Court€to€reflect€that€Wife€shall€receive€$5,800€perÐ Ô$ Ðmonth€for€24€months€from€the€date€of€the€Trial€Courtððs€Judgment€as€alimony€in€futuro,€and€shallÐ À Ðreceive€$4,800€per€month€thereafter€as€alimony€in€futuro.Ð ¬ü ÐÌà  àà ` àHusband€also€argues€that€the€Trial€Court€erred€in€awarding€Wifeððs€attorney€fees€ofÐ „Ô Ð$10,000.€€Where€one€spouse€demonstrates€a€financial€inability€to€afford€counsel,€and€where€the€otherÐ pÀ Ðspouse€has€the€ability€to€pay,€the€court€may€properly€award€attorney€fees.€€òòHoughland€v.€Houghland,Ð \ ¬ Ðóó844€S.W.2d€€619,€623€(Tenn.€Ct.€App.€1992);€òòHarwell€v.€Harwell,€óó612€S.W.2d€182,€185€(Tenn.€Ct.Ð H!˜ ÐApp.€1980).€€Furthermore,€the€award€of€attorney€fees€is€within€the€sound€discretion€of€the€TrialÐ 4"„  ÐCourt,€and€it€will€not€be€disturbed€on€appeal€unless€we€find€an€abuse€of€that€discretion.€€òòCrabtreeóó,Ð  #p!
