Uponadenovoreviewwithapresumptionofcorrectness,wefindthattherecordreflectsthetrialcourtsdueconsiderationtothesentencingprinciplessetforthinthe1989Act,includingtheeligibilitycriteriaforcommunitycorrectionsassetforthinTenn.CodeAnn.4036106(1990).Whileacknowledgingtheexistenceofsomemitigatingevidence,thetrialcourtconcludedthatcertainconsiderationsmilitatedagainstalternativesentencing.QuotingTenn.CodeAnn.4035103(1)(A)(C),thetrialjudgefoundsupportingevidenceandconcludedthat:8 8 Confinementisnecessarytoprotectsocietybyrestrainingadefendantwhohasalonghistoryofcriminalconduct .   ...Confinementisnecessarytoavoiddepreciatingtheseriousnessoftheoffenseorconfinementisparticularlysuitedtoprovideaneffectivedeterrencetootherslikelytocommitsimilaroffenses /   ׀ormeasureslessrestrictivethanconfinementhavefrequentlyorrecentlybeenappliedunsuccessfully.
