AppellantspostconvictionpetitionisgovernedbythenowrepealedPostConvictionProcedureAct.Tenn.CodeAnn.4030101124(repealed1995).ThatActimposedathreeyearstatuteoflimitationsonpostconvictionpetitions.Tenn.CodeAnn.4030102(repealed1995).Thatstatuteprovidedthatthelimitationsperiodbeginsrunningfromthedateofthefinalactionofthehigheststateappellatecourttowhichanappealistaken.Id.ThisCourtaffirmedappellantsconvictionsonJuly8,1987andnofurtherappealsweretaken.ThethreeyearperiodexpiredonappellantspostconvictionclaimsonJuly8,1990.Therefore,thispetitionfiledin1995,somefiveyearsafterexpirationofthestatute,isclearlytimebarred.
