SometimepriortotheresentencinghearingtheSumnerCountyDistrictAttorneysOfficeannounceditwouldnotseekthedeathpenaltyagain.Thus,theonlyissueattheresentencinghearingwaswhetherAppellantslifesentenceinthiscasewouldrunconsecutivelytoalifesentencehereceivedinMontgomeryCountyforthemurderofVadaE.Langston,andthe11yearprisontermhereceivedfortherobberyofMs.Langston.FollowingtheresentencinghearingthetrialcourtorderedthatthelifesentenceinthiscaserunconsecutivelytotheMontgomeryCountysentences.ItisfromtheimpositionofconsecutivesentencesthatAppellantfilestheinstantappeal.Weaffirmthedecisionofthetrialcourt. TherecordreflectsthatAppellanthasanextensivejuvenilerecordincludingactsoflarceny,arson,receivingandconcealingstolenproperty,burglary,andassaultandbattery.WhenAppellantwas18yearsoldhecommittedthemurderintheinstantcase;onemonthafterhewasreleasedfromhislastjuvenileprobation.Bytheageof20Appellanthadyetanothermurdertohiscreditaswellasaconvictionforaggravatedrobbery. BasedonthisrecordwehavenoreservationinaffirmingthefindingsofthetrialcourtthatAppellanthasanextensiverecordofcriminalactivitysufficienttowarrantconsecutivesentencing.See,Tenn.CodeAnn.Sec.4035115(a)(2).Further,itisapparentthatAppellanthasnohesitationwhatsoeveraboutcommittingcrimeswhichpresentahighdegreeofrisktohumanlife.See,Tenn.CodeAnn.Sec.4035115(a)(4).Appellanthasbeenconvictedofthreeofthemostseriousfeloniesinourcode.Consecutivesentencingisthereforereasonablyrelatedtotheseverityoftheseoffenses.ThefailureofpreviouseffortsatrehabilitatingAppellantanddeterringhimfromfurthercriminalactivitymakeisabundantlyclearthatalengthytermofconsecutivesentencesarenecessarytoprotectthepublicformfurthercriminalconductbyAppellant.Underthesecircumstancesconsecutivesentencingasa dangerousoffenderisclearlyproper.See,Statev.Wilkerson,905S.W.2d933,93839(Tenn.1995).
