Theappellantrentedahouseona42acrefarmownedbyEvelynSharp.Ms.Sharpraisedcattleontherestofthefarm.Shevisitedthefarmdailytofeedthecattleandtakecareoffarmchores.Duringaroutinevisit,Ms.Sharpsawwhatshethoughttobemarijuanainthebackoftheappellantstruck.Thetruckwasparkedapproximately60to70feetfromtheappellantshouse.Ms.Sharppromptlylefttogogetthesheriff.  Approximatelythirtyminuteslater,Ms.SharpreturnedwithOfficerToddLovedayoftheGraingerCountySheriffsDepartment.TheplantsthatMs.Sharphadearlierobservedhadbeenmovedtosomenearbybrush.OfficerϜLovedayconfirmedthattheseplantsweremarijuana.Healsonoticedasinglemarijuanaleafinthebackoftheappellant'struck.Uponfurtherinvestigation,OfficerLovedaylocatedatotalof32pottedmarijuanaplantsnearoraroundthissamearea.Healsonoticeda beatenpathinthegrassfromtheappellantshousetowherethemarijuanawasfound.Heproceededuptothehouseandquestionedtheappellantabouttheplants.Theappellantadmittedthatheownedthetruckbutdeniedhavinganyknowledgeoftheplantsandcouldnotexplainhowtheplantsgotinsuchcloseproximitytohishouse.   OfficerLovedayconfiscatedall32plants.Theplantswerephotographedbutneversenttoatoxicologisttoconfirmthattheywereinfactmarijuana.Twodayslatertheappellantwasarrestedfortheproductionofmarijuana. Attrial,thestatesproofincludedtestimonyofMs.SharpandOfficerLoveday.Bothwitnessestestifiedastowhattheyhadseenthatdayattheproperty.Furthermore,OfficerLovedaytestifiedthathewascertain,baseduponhisexperienceandtraining,thattheplantsheconfiscatedweremarijuana.Thephotographsoftheplantswereadmittedintoevidence. Theappellantattemptedtoshowthattheplantswerenevertestedbyacertifiedtoxicologistand,thus,neverproventobemarijuana.Inaddition,theappellantattemptedtoshowthataccesstothepropertywasunlimitedandthatthestatehadfailedtoprovethathewasthepersonwhoplantedthemarijuana.Thejurywasnotpersuadedandreturnedaverdictofguilty.̀ SUFFICIENCYOFTHEEVIDENCE Theappellantcontendsthattheevidencepresentedattrialisinsufficienttosupporthisconviction.Greatweightisaffordedaverdictreachedbyajuryinacriminaltrial.Ajuryverdictapprovedbythetrialjudgeaccreditsthestateswitnessesandresolvesallconflictsinfavorofthestate.Statev.Williams,657S.W.2d405,410(Tenn.1983).Onappeal,thestateisentitledtothestrongestlegitimateviewoftheevidenceandallreasonableinferenceswhichmaybedrawntherefrom.Statev.Cabbage,571S.W.2d832,835(Tenn.1978).Moreover,aguiltyverdictremovesthepresumptionofinnocencewhichtheappellantenjoyedattrialandraisesapresumptionofguiltonappeal.Statev.Grace,493S.W.2d474,476(Tenn.1973).Theappellanthastheburdenofovercomingthispresumptionofguilt.Id.󀀀 Wheresufficiencyoftheevidenceischallenged,therelevantquestionforanappellatecourtiswhether,afterviewingtheevidenceinthelightmostfavorabletotheprosecution,anyrationaltrieroffactcouldhavefoundtheessentialelementsofthecrimeorcrimesbeyondareasonabledoubt.Jacksonv.Virginia,443U.S.307,319(1979);Statev.Duncan,698S.W.2d63,67(Tenn.1985);Tenn.R.App.P.13(e).Theweightandcredibilityofthewitnessestestimonyaremattersentrustedexclusivelytothejuryasthetriersoffact.Statev.Sheffield,676S.W.2d542,547(Tenn.1984);Byrgev.State,575S.W.2d292,295(Tenn.Crim.App.1978). Theevidencewassufficienttosustaintheappellantsconviction.Thestatepresentedstrongcircumstantialevidencethattheappellantwasgrowingmarijuana.ThetestimonyofbothMs.SharpandOfficerLovedayprovidedenoughevidencefromwhichajurycouldhaveconcludedtheappellantproducedmarijuanabeyondareasonabledoubt.   WEIGHTOFTHEEVIDENCE    Theappellantnextcontendsthattheverdictwasnotsupportedbytheweightoftheevidence.Presumably,theappellantisarguingthatthetrialjudgefailedtoperformhisroleasthirteenthjurorpursuanttoRule33(f)oftheTennesseeRulesofCriminalProcedure. Rule33(f)providesthatthetrialcourtmaygrantanewtrialifitviewstheverdicttobecontrarytotheweightoftheevidence.ThisruleappliestothetrialcourtanddoesnotgivethisCourtindependentauthoritytoactasathirteenthjuror.Statev.Burlison,868S.W.2d713,719(Tenn.Crim.App.1993).ThefactthatthisCourthasnoindependentauthoritytofunctionasathirteenthjurordoesnotnegatetheobligationtoreviewthetrialcourtsactionunderRule33(f)forerror.Therefore,iftherecordreflectsthatthetrialcourtdisagreedwiththeverdictorotherwiseexpresseddissatisfactionwiththeverdict,itiserrorforthetrialcourttorefusetograntanewtrial.Statev.Carter,896S.W.2d119,122(Tenn.1995).Also,anewtrialmaybegrantedonappealincircumstancesinwhichthetrialcourtabsolveditselfofitsresponsibilitytoconsidertheevidenceasathirteenthjuror.Burlison,868S.W.2dat719.Conversely,oncethetrialcourtapprovestheverdictasthethirteenthjurorandimposesjudgment,thereviewoftheevidenceonappealisquitelimited,requiringtheaccreditingofthetestimonyofthewitnessesforthestateandtheresolutionofevidentiaryconflictsinfavorofthestate.Grace,493S.W.2dat476. Therecordreflectsthatthetrialcourtconsideredtheevidenceinitsroleofthethirteenthjuroranddeniedtheappellantsrequestforanacquittalornewtrial.Theappellantscontentionisthattheweightoftheevidenceiscontrarytotheverdict,apositionwithwhichthetrialcourtdisagreed.
