Inthisappealofright,thedefendantcontendsthattheevidencewasinsufficient.Wedisagreeandaffirmthejudgmentofthetrialcourt.  About9:00P.M.onMay20,1994,thevictim,KwameWilliams,returnedtohisresidencetofindhisfrontdooropen.Amanthevictimidentifiedasthedefendant"wascomingout."Thevictimgrabbedthedefendant,demandingtoknowwhathewasdoinginside.ThedefendantansweredthathewaslookingforVickyJones,acousintothevictim,whohadmovedoutoftheWilliamsresidenceaboutamonthbefore.Thedefendantwasabletobreakfreefromthevictim'sgraspandfled;hisshirtwasrippedintheprocess.Thevictiminstructedaneighbortocallpoliceandthenchasedthedefendantaboutablock.Hedescribedthedefendantas"ablackmale,[witha]lowhaircut,[and]...agreenshirt."Whenthevictiminspectedtheinterioroftheresidence,hefoundthatnothinghadbeentakenbutthathistelevision,whichhealwayslefton,hadbeenunplugged.Thefrontdoorappearedtohavebeen"kickedin";therewasa"footprint[onthedoor]andthehingeswereoff."Abouttwentyfiveminuteslater,thevictimidentifiedthedefendantwhowasbytheninthecustodyofpolice.  Afewminutesafterthereportoftheburglary,PoliceOfficerThomasTynesrespondedtoacallfromaresidenceinthesameneighborhood.Thedefendant,whowasnotknownbytheoccupant,wasontheroofofthehouse;thedefendantexplainedtoofficersarrivingatthescenethathehadsoughtrefugefromseveralpeoplewhohadbeen"fightingandchasing"him.WhenOfficerTyneslearnedthatthealtercationhadbegunattheresidenceofthevictim,hesuspectedthedefendanthadcommittedtheburglary.  Thedefendantclaimsthatthestatewasunabletoprovethathehadenteredtheresidencewithouttheeffectiveconsentoftheownerorthatthedefendantintendedtocommitathefttherein.Bothelementsareessentialtotheoffense.Thestate,ofcourse,insiststhattheproofwassufficient.Itarguesthattherewascircumstantialevidencethatthedefendantenteredtheresidencewiththeintenttocommitatheft.  A"personcommitsburglarywho,withouttheeffectiveconsentofthepropertyowner...[e]ntersabuilding...withintenttocommitafelonyortheft...."Tenn.CodeAnn.3914402(a)(1).AburglarycommittedunderTenn.CodeAnn.3914402(a)(1)isaClassDfelony.Whenahabitation,"anystructure...designedoradaptedfortheovernightaccommodationofpersons,"isinvolved,theburglaryisaggravatedandaClassCfelony.Tenn.CodeAnn.3914401,403.  Onappeal,thestateisentitledtothestrongestlegitimateviewoftheevidence,andallreasonableinferenceswhichmightbedrawntherefrom.Statev.Cabbage,571S.W.2d832(Tenn.1978).Thecredibilityofthewitnesses,theweightgiventheirtestimony,andthereconciliationofconflictsintheevidencearemattersentrustedexclusivelytothejuryasthetrieroffact.Byrgev.State,575S.W.2d292(Tenn.Crim.App.1978).Acriminalconvictioncanbesetasideonlywhenthiscourtfindsthatthe"evidenceisinsufficienttosupportthefindingbythetrieroffactofguiltbeyondareasonabledoubt."Tenn.R.App.P.13(e).  Theproofbythestatewasthattherehadbeenaforcedentryoftheresidenceandthatthetelevision,whichhadbeenleftinoperationbythevictimduringthetimeofhisabsence,hadbeenunplugged.Byallappearances,thevictim'sreturntohisresidenceinterruptedthedefendant'splans.Inourview,thejurywasentitledtoinferfromthisevidencethatthedefendantintendedtocommitatheftorotherfelonyinsidetheresidence.Certainly,thereisnorequirementthataburglarbesuccessfulinconsummatingthetheftinordertobeguiltyoftheburglary.Seee.g.,Duchacv.State,505S.W.2d237(Tenn.1973).Clearly,arationaltrieroffactcouldhavefoundtheessentialelementsofthecrimeofaggravatedburglarybeyondareasonabledoubt.Theevidenceofthedefendant'sguiltsatisfiesthestandardprescribed.SeeJacksonv.Virginia,443U.S.307(1979).
