Althoughtherecordisexceedinglysparse,wegleanthatthepetitioneriscurrentlyservingsentencesintheDepartmentofCorrectionforconvictionshereceivedinSumnerandRobertsonCounties.HeallegesthathealsohasDavidsonCountyconvictionsforwhichhewasoriginallyplacedonprobation,butthestatehaspendingarevocationwarrantthatrelatestoafaileddrugtestsometwentyfivemonthsearlier.Accordingtothepetitioner,theresultisthattheDepartmentofCorrectionisrefusingtocalculatesentencingcreditsandparoledatesbecauseofthependingrevocationactionfortheDavidsonCountyconvictions.ThepetitionerclaimsboththatheisentitledtoreleaseiftheDepartmentofCorrectionwouldprocesshissentencingcreditsandthatthetwentyfivemonthdelayinpursuinghisDavidsonCountyprobationrevocationviolateshisrighttoaspeedytrial. Eventhoughwhathasoccurredtothepetitionerisunclearfromtherecord,itremainsclearthatheisnotentitledtohabeascorpusrelief.HabeascorpusreliefisonlyavailableinTennesseewhenaconvictedpetitionerssentenceisvoidorthesentencehasexpired.SeeArcherv.State,851S.W.2d157,164(Tenn.1993).Itisnotavailabletochallengethedenialofprisonprivilegesandrelatedinternalmattersofourcorrectionalinstitutionsthathavenobearingonthevalidityoftherestrainingconviction,theresultingsentence,ortheexpirationofthesentence.See,e.g.,Statev.Warren,740S.W.2d427,428(Tenn.Crim.App.1986).TheappropriatemethodtochallengetheDepartmentofCorrectionsfailuretocalculatesentencingcreditsandparoledatesistheAdministrativeProceduresAct.SeeT.C.A.45101325(1991andSupp.1996);Brighamv.Lack,755S.W.2d469,471(Tenn.Crim.App.1988). Inthiscase,thepetitionerscomplaintsconcernactionsthataffecthisreleaseeligibility,suchasparole,buthavenobearinguponthevalidityofhisconvictionsnorinvolveaclaimthatthesentencesimposedhaveactuallyexpired.Similarly,thepetitionersconcernofthelackofaspeedyproceedingupontherevocationofprobationforhisDavidsonCountyconvictionsdoesnotattackthevalidityofanyofhisconvictionsnorrelatetotheexpirationofanysentenceactuallyimposedforwhichthepetitionerispresentlyincarcerated.
