Afterasentencinghearing,thetrialcourtacceptedthestate'srecommendationandsentencedtheappellanttosevenyearsintheDepartmentofCorrection.Heappealschallengingthemannerofserviceofhissentence.Uponreview,weaffirm. Theappellantcontendsthatthetrialcourtabuseditsdiscretioninfailingtogranthimalternativesentencing.Hecontendsthatproofadducedatthesentencinghearingshowsthathehasdrugandalcoholproblemswhichcanbestbetreatedinacommunitybasedalternativetoincarceration. Appellatereviewofasentencingissueisdenovo.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035401(d)(1990).Theappellanthastheburdenofestablishingthesentenceimposedbythetrialcourtwaserroneous.Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991).Indeterminingwhethertheappellanthascarriedthisburden,thisCourtmustconsider:(a)theevidenceadducedattrialandthesentencinghearing;(b)thepresentencereport;(c)theprinciplesofsentencing;(d)theargumentsofcounsel;(e)thenatureandcharacteristicsoftheoffense;and(f)theappellant'spotentialorlackofpotentialforrehabilitationortreatment.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035103(5),210(b)(1990). Theappellantarguesthatheisentitledtopresumptivesuitabilityforalternativesentencingbecausehecommittedanonviolentoffensecarryingasentenceoflessthaneightyears.Wedisagree.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035102(6)providesthispresumptiononlytothoseoffendersclassifiedasespeciallymitigatedorstandardoffenders.Theappellantcanbeconsideredforalternativesentencing;butheisnotentitledtoapresumptionforalternativesentencingbecausehewasclassifiedasaRangeII,multipleoffender. Thetrialjudgeconsideredseveralfactorsinsentencingtheappellanttosevenyearsincarceration.Sheconsideredtheappellant'sextensivecriminalhistory 2   ׀andhisadmitteddrugandalcoholproblem.Furthermore,shefoundtheappellanttobeinsincereinhisdesirefortreatment.Oneofthecountsofhisprobationrevocationwarrantwashisfailuretoreporttoorderedcounseling.Finally,thetrialjudgestatedthatshefelttheappellantwasathreattosociety. Wefindthatmeasureslessrestrictivethanconfinementhavefrequentlyandrecentlybeenappliedunsuccessfullytotheappellant. 3   ׀Hehasreceivedrepeatedalternativesentencesforpastconvictions.Nothingintherecordsuggeststhatthetrialjudgemadeanerroneousdecision.Theappellanthasnotcarriedhisburden.HehaswellearnedhisstatusasaguestoftheCommissioneroftheDepartmentofCorrection.
