ApparentlybelievingtheTennesseeRulesofAppellateProceduretobeadvisory,counselforappellantattachedtoherbriefastipulationoffactsagreeduponbytrialcounselinsteadoffilingastatementoftheevidencewiththeclerkofthetrialcourtasrequiredbyRule24T.R.C.P.Thestateproperlyobjectedtothisprocedure.Byorderofthecourt,thestatementoffactswasstricken.CounselisadmonishedtocomplyinthefuturewiththerulesofthisCourt. Evenso,weareabletogleansufficientfactsfromtherecordtoruleuponappellantsissuewhichshepresentsforreview. Whiletheexhibitshavenotbeenauthenticatedbythetrialjudge,theyarecontainedintherecord.Noobjectiontotheirinclusionhasbeenmade.Exhibit#2demonstratesthattheDepartmentofSafetyrevokedappellantsdriverslicenseonoraboutSeptember13,1991.Bythesamedocument,appellantwasinformedthatshecouldapplytohaveherdriverslicensereinstatedonorafterSeptember10,1992. AppellantinsiststhatherperiodofsuspensionhadnotbeguntorunbecausetheCourtofGeneralSessionsdidnotphysicallytakeherdriverslicense.Insupportofherargument,appellantcitesT.C.A.5550502(e)(2)whichprovidesthatifadriverslicenseissuspendedbecauseofaDUIconviction,theperiodofsuspensionbeginswiththeactualtakingofthedriverslicensefromthepossessionoftheaffectedperson. Assumingabarguendothistobetrue,weareconstrainedtopointoutthatthislanguageiscontainedintheCodesectiondealingwiththediscretionary( ...isherebyauthorizedto...) suspension ofdriverslicensesbytheDepartmentofSafety.T.C.A.5550502(a).Asuspensionisthetemporarywithdrawalofdrivingprivileges,afterwhichperiodofsuspensionthelicensemaybereturned.T.C.A.5550102(47). TheprocedurewhichwasfollowedbytheDepartmentofSafetyinthecasesubjudicewasthatcontainedinT.C.A.5550501etseq.Underthissection,theDepartmentofSafetyisrequiredtorevoke( ...shallforthwithrevoke...)thedriverslicenseofanypersonwhoisinteraliaconvictedofDUI.Arevocationistheterminationofdrivingprivilegesafterwhichapersonmaynotdrivewithoutobtaininganewlicense.T.C.A.5550102(42). Exhibit#2makesitquiteplainthattheDepartmentofSafetyproceededunderT.C.A.5550501etseqtorevokeappellantsϜlicense.̛ Acodesectionshouldnotbereadinisolation.Itmustbereadinparimateriawiththeremainingportionsofthesubchapterinwhichitisfound.Whenthisisdone,itisobviousthatthecitedcodesectionhasnoapplicationtotheprocedurefollowedbytheDepartmentofSafetyinthiscase. Appellantinsiststhat suspensionand revocationareinterchangeableandsynonymous.Thisismisplaced.Thedifferenceinthetermsisclearandtheprocedurestoeffectuateeachisdifferent. AppellantreliesuponaCodesectionwhichdoesnotaffecttheprocedureusedtorevokeherdrivingprivileges.
