Weaffirmthejudgmentofthetrialcourt. Theproofattrialrevealedthat,onJuly13,1993,theappellantandhiswifehadbeenlivingseparatelyandapartforapproximatelytwoweeks.Ataround4:00a.m.onthisdate,theappellantdrovetothewife'stemporaryresidenceandwasinformedthatshehadgonenextdoortohersister'smobilehome.Theappellantproceededtotheadjacentmobilehomebutwasinitiallydeniedentrance.However,afterseveralminutesof"hollering"and"bangingonthedoor,"hiswifepermittedhimtoenter.Onceinside,hebegansearchingeachroom,screaming,cursing,anddemandingtoknow"who'shereandwhatareyoudoinghere?"Minuteslater,hefoundMiltonSuggshidinginasmallcloset.Theappellantimmediatelybegantobeatthevictiminthefacewithhisfists.Theestrangedwife'seffortstorescueherfriendwereunsuccessful.Finally,thehaplessfriendwasabletoextricatehimselffromthesnareoftheclothesandthepunchesoftheappellantandfleethemobilehome.Theappellant,savoringvictory,continuedthepursuitofMr.Suggs,allthewhileyellingatthevictim,"I'mgoingtogetyou,I'mgoingtokillyou."Onceoutsidethemobilehome,thevictimprovedtobethesuperiorofthetwoonfoot,eludingtheappellantinthedarkness.Testimonyestablishedthattherewasblood"allover[thevictim's]face,noseandmouth.Suggswasadmittedtoahospitallaterthatmorning,resultinginhospitalandmedicalexpensesofapproximately$3,500.00. Theappellanttestifiedattrialthatheactedinselfdefense.Theappellantrelatedtothejurythathewaspushedbythevictimasthevictimexitedthecloset.Inrebuttal,theStateofferedthetestimonyofthedeputysheriffwhotooktheappellant'sstatementfollowingtheincident.Thedeputytestifiedthattheappellanttoldhim"thathehadfoundamanintheclosetandpunchedhim."Theappellantneverindicatedtothedeputythathehadbeenpushedbythevictim. Inarguingthesufficiencyoftheevidence,theappellantcontendsthatthejuryimproperlyrejectedhisclaimofselfdefense.Theappellantcontendsthatthejurygavetoomuchweighttothetestimonyoftheprosecutingwitnesses,ignoringtheirtotallackofcredibility.Whenthesufficiencyoftheevidenceischallengedonappeal,ourstandardofreviewis"whether,afterviewingtheevidenceinthelightmostfavorabletotheprosecution,anyrationaltrierofthefactcouldhavefoundtheessentialelementsofthecrimebeyondareasonabledoubt."Jacksonv.Virginia,443U.S.307,319,99.S.Ct.2781,2789(1979).Indeterminingthesufficiencyoftheevidence,thiscourtdoesnotreweighorreevaluatetheevidence.Statev.Cabbage,571S.W.2d832,835(Tenn.1978).Itwaswithintheprovinceofthejurytodeterminewhetherthestatehadcarrieditsburdenofproofwithregardtoselfdefense.Statev.Story,608S.W.2d599,601(Tenn.Crim.App.),perm.toappealdenied,(Tenn.1980).Weconcludethattheevidencecontainedinthisrecordissufficienttosupporttheconvictionoftheappellantbeyondareasonabledoubt.Tenn.R.App.P.13(e). Theappellantalsocontendsthatthetrialcourterredbynotgrantingtotalprobation.Iftherecorddemonstratesthatthetrialcourtproperlyconsideredrelevantsentencingprinciples,weaffordthesentenceimposedbythetrialcourtapresumptionofcorrectness.Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991).Therecordrevealsthat,inaccordancewithStatev.Palmer,902S.W.2d391,393(Tenn.1995),thetrialcourtconsideredtheprinciples,purposes,andgoalsoftheCriminalSentencingReformActof1989.Theappellanthastheburdenofestablishingsuitabilityfortotalprobation.Statev.Bingham,910S.W.2d448,455(Tenn.Crim.App.),perm.toappealdenied,(Tenn.1995).Wefindnoerroroflawrequiringreversalofthejudgmentofthetrialcourt.
