Thepetitionercontendsthatthetrialcourterredbydismissinghisapplicationforhabeascorpusreliefbecausetheapplicationallegesconstitutionalgroundsthatvoidhisconvictions.Specifically,heassertsthathisconvictionsarevoidbecausethestatewasallowedtoquestionhimathistrialaboutunrelatedchargesagainsthimandbecausejurymemberswereexposedtonewspaperarticlesaboutunrelatedchargesagainsthimandtoextrajudicialdebatesbetweenwitnesses.Thetrialcourtruledthattheseclaimsareinsufficienttovoidthepetitionersconvictionsandthattheallegationsintheapplicationforhabeascorpusreliefwouldhavebeenmoreappropriatelyraisedondirectappealorinapetitionforpostconvictionrelief.SeeArcherv.State,851S.W.2d157,164(Tenn.1993).Thecourtalsonotedthattheapplicablepostconvictionstatuteoflimitations,T.C.A.4030102,barredthepetitionerfromfilingapetitionforpostconvictionrelief. Afterfullconsiderationoftherecord,thebriefs,andthelawgoverningtheissuepresented,weareoftheopinionthatthepetitiondoesnotstategroundsforhabeascorpusreliefandthatnoprecedentialvaluewouldbederivedfromtherenderingofanopinion.Therefore,weconcludethatthejudgmentofthetrialcourtshouldbeaffirmedpursuanttoRule20,Tenn.Ct.Crim.App.R.
