Atthesentencinghearing,theDefendanttestifiedthathedidnotremembermuchabouttheoffensestowhichhepleadedguiltybecausehewas drunkonmoonshine.Hesaidthatheandhisbrotherhadconsumedaboutahalfgallonofmoonshineandthey gottofighting.Hegotintoatrucktodriveaway,shortlythereafterthepolicestoppedhim,andthechargeswhichledtohisguiltypleasfollowed. Whenanaccusedchallengesthelength,range,ormannerofserviceofasentence,thiscourthasadutytoconductadenovoreviewofthesentencewithapresumptionthatthedeterminationsmadebythetrialcourtarecorrect.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035401(d).Thispresumptionis conditionedupontheaffirmativeshowingintherecordthatthetrialcourtconsideredthesentencingprinciplesandallrelevantfactsandcircumstances.𛀀Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991). Inconductingadenovoreviewofasentence,thiscourtmustconsider:(a)theevidence,ifany,receivedatthetrialandsentencinghearing;(b)thepresentencereport;(c)theprinciplesofsentencingandargumentsastosentencingalternatives;(d)thenatureandcharacteristicsofthecriminalconductinvolved;(e)anystatutorymitigatingorenhancementfactors;(f)anystatementthatthedefendantmadeonhisownbehalf;and(g)thepotentialorlackofpotentialforrehabilitationortreatment.Tenn.CodeAnn.-X-Ԁ4035102,103,210;Statev.Smith,735S.W.2d859,863(Tenn.Crim.App.1987). ThepresentencereportreflectsthatatthetimeoftheoffensetheDefendantwasthirtyfouryearsofage,single,andhadaninthgradeeducation.TheDefendanthasaratherlengthyhistoryofcriminalconductspanningafifteenyearperiod.Hisconvictionsincludetwoforlarcenyfromtheperson,twoforassault,oneforgrandlarceny,oneforfirstdegreeburglary,twoforreceivingstolenpropertyandtwofordrivingonasuspendedlicense.HeϜhasservedtimeinthepenitentiaryatleastonceandapparentlyhisparolehasbeenrevokedontwooccasions.Headmittedtolongtermuseofmarijuanaandtestedpositiveformarijuanaonadrugscreenjustafewdaysbeforehissentencinghearing. Inthisappeal,theDefendantconcedes thatsomeperiodofconfinementwouldlikelybewarranted.𛀀Heargues,however,thatninemonthsofconfinementisexcessive,andthattwomonthswouldbemoreappropriate.Trialjudgesaretraditionallyvestedwithbroaddiscretionaryauthorityinsentencingmatters.BasedontheDefendantslengthycriminalrecord,thefailureoflessrestrictivemeasuresinthepast,andtheDefendantscontinueddisregardforthelawsofthisState,weareunabletoconcludethatthetrialjudgeerredorabusedhisdiscretionbyorderingthatninemonthsoftheDefendantssentencebeservedinthecountyjail.
