HeatherMorris,anundercoverdrugagentfortheAthensPoliceDepartment,testifiedthatshebeganpreparingforanundercoverdrugoperationinAthensinJuly1996.Shetestifiedthataspartofherpreparation,shewasrequiredtolookthroughaboxofphotographscontainingpicturesofthepeoplefromwhomshewaslikelytopurchasedrugsduringtheoperation.Shestatedthatshewasrequiredtolookatthesephotographseverydaythroughouttheoperation.Shefurtherstatedthatshebecamefamiliarwiththedefendantsfacebylookingathisphotograph.Shetestifiedthatbeforesheboughtdrugsoneachoccasion,herpartner,DetectiveBillMatthews,woulddrivethroughtheareatoseewhowasstandingoutside.ShesaidthatshewouldthenmeetDetectiveMatthewsatanearbyparkwhereshewouldputonanelectronicrecordingdevicetorecordthedrugtransactions. OfficerMorristestifiedthatonAugust9and14,andSeptember27,1996,shedrovedownKilgoreStreetinAthensandstoppedwhenshesawthedefendantstandingonthestreet.Shestatedthatsheaskedthedefendantfor ahundred,meaningonemmmmhundreddollarsworthofcrackcocaine.Shesaidthatshethendrovearoundtheblockwhilethedefendantwentinsideahousetogetthedrugs.Shesaidthatshethendroveuptothedefendant,andhehandedherthedrugs.Shetestifiedthatafriendofthedefendants,PaulMoss,wasalsopresentwhenthetransactions 706 tookplace.Shemadeapositiveidentificationofthedefendantincourt.Thetaperecordingsofthethreetransactionswereintroducedintoevidenceattrial. Oncrossexamination,OfficerMorrisadmittedthattherewereotherblackmalespresentintheareawhenshemadethedrugtransactionsthatwereofthesamebuildasthedefendant.Shestatedthatshecouldnotrememberwhatthedefendantwaswearingduringanyofthethreetransactions.Shealsoadmittedthatbeforebeginningherpreparationfortheundercoveroperation,shehaddifficultydistinguishingamongblackmales. DetectiveBillMatthewstestifiedthatheworkedwithOfficerMorrisontheundercoverdrugoperation.HetestifiedthatbeforeOfficerMorriswouldattempttomakeapurchase,hewoulddrivethroughtheareatoseeiftherewasanypotentialdrugactivityandtoseewhowas outfront,meaningwhowassellingcocainethatnight.Hestatedthatthedefendantappearedtobesellingcocaineonallthreeoccasionswhenthedrugtransactionstookplace.Hesaidthathehadknownboththedefendantandthedefendantsfriend,PaulMoss,forseveralyears.Hetestifiedthathehadnotroubledistinguishingbetweenthembecausethedefendantwastallandmuscular,whereasPaulMosswasheavyset.Hestatedthathemonitoredtheelectronicrecordingofthetransactions.Headmittedoncrossexaminationthatsometimestherewouldbenumerousblackmalesoutsidewhenhewoulddrivethroughthearea. ThedefendanttestifiedthatoncewhenhewaswalkingonKilgoreStreet,OfficerMorrisapproachedhimandaskedforsome yeh,aslangtermforcocaine.Hestatedthathecontinuedwalking.ThedefendantalsostatedthathesawOfficerMorrisonKilgoreStreetonAugust9,thenightofthefirstdrugtransaction.HestatedthathedidnotselldrugstoOfficerMorrisonthatnightoranyotheroccasion.Hetestifiedthat 706  :  m :  ml :  lthevoiceonthetapesofthetransactionswasnothis.Hestatedthatthereasonhewasstandingoutsideintheareawasbecausehewasaddictedtococaineandwaslookingtopurchasecocaineforhisownpersonaluse. Thetrialcourtfoundthedefendantguiltyofthreecountsofthesaleoflessthanonehalfgramofcocaine.Thedefendantwassentencedtothreesixyearsentencestobeservedconcurrently.Thedefendantarguesthattheevidenceisinsufficienttosupporthisconvictions.Specifically,thedefendantarguesthattheidentificationofthedefendantbyOfficerMorriswasnotcredible. Ourstandardofreviewwhenthesufficiencyoftheevidenceisquestionedonappealis"whether,afterviewingtheevidenceinthelightmostfavorabletotheprosecution,anyrationaltrieroffactcouldhavefoundtheessentialelementsofthe  crimebeyondareasonabledoubt."Jacksonv.Virginia,443U.S.307,319,99S.Ct. d\ 2781,2789(1979).Thismeansthatwedonotreweightheevidence,butpresumethatthejuryhasresolvedallconflictsinthetestimonyanddrawnallreasonableinferencesfromtheevidenceinfavorofthestate.SeeStatev.Sheffield,676S.W.2d542,547 #  (Tenn.1984);Statev.Cabbage,571S.W.2d832,835(Tenn.1978).Althoughthis %" caseinvolvedabenchtrial,thefindingsofthetrialjudgewhoconductedtheproceedingscarrythesameweightasajuryverdict.Statev.Tate,615S.W.2d161, ,)$"& 162(Tenn.Crim.App.1981).
