` Afterareviewoftheentirerecord,briefsoftheparties,andappropriatelaw,weAFFIRMthetrialcourtsjudgment. ` OnFebruary16,1998,theDecaturCountygrandjuryindictedthedefendant(JohnnyLynnCruse),DanielLynnMatthews,andTerryDaleMillerforthepremeditatedmurderofThomasL.HayonDecember1,1997.OnMay7,1998,thedefendant,inthepresenceofhisattorney,enteredapleaofguiltytothereducedoffenseofmurderseconddegreeandrequestedthatthetrialcourtdeterminetheappropriatesentence.Thetrialcourtorderedapresentencereport. ` AtthesentencinghearingonJune22,1998,thedefendanttestifiedhedidnotwishtocallanywitnesses,nordidhewishtotestify.Thepresentencereportwassubmittedtothetrialcourtforconsiderationoftheappropriatesentence.Afterthedefendantsarrest,hegaveastatementtotheDecaturCountySheriffsDepartment,whichwasincorporatedintothepresentencereport.Priortotheshooting,thedefendant,DanielMatthews,andTerryMillerwereatafriendshousedrinkingbeer.Millerstartedtalkingabouthowsomeguyhad fthem.Thedefendantdidnotknowwhotheyweretalkingabout.Afterridingaround,theyarrivedat Hookshouse.Matthewshadarifle,andheandMillercleanedthebulletswith_Windexandloadedtherifle_.Theydroveupthevictimsdriveway.Millerwentuptothehouse,returnedtothecar,andtoldMatthewsto godoit....Hessittinginthechair.Godoitorwellleave.Matthewsgotout,walkeduptothehouse,and V948 firedseveralshotsthroughthedoor.Thedefendantdroveoff,butstoppeddowntheroad,andallthreereturnedtothehouse,whereMillertooksomerocksandarrowheads.Matthewstooktwolongguns,aleveractionrifle,andsomethingina zipupbag.Thedefendantadmittedthatheknew weweregoingtokillthatman....MyonlyparticipationwasthatIwasdrivingthemaround,wentbacktothehouseafterthemanwasdead,andtalkedtothemaboutnotparkingdowntheroad,whentheplanningwasgoingon. ` TheStatesubmittedthreeenhancementfactorsforthepurposeofenhancingthedefendantssentence:(1)thedefendanthasaprevioushistoryofcriminalconvictionsorcriminalbehavior;(2)thedefendantwasaleaderinthecommissionofanoffenseinvolvingtwoormorecriminalactors;and(3)thedefendantpossessedoremployedafirearminthecommissionoftheoffense.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035114(1),(2),and(9).Thetrialcourtfoundenhancementfactors(1)and(9)applicable.Thedefendantstipulatedtherewerenomitigatingfactors,buttookissuethathewasaleaderinthecommissionoftheoffense.Thetrialcourtrejectedtheapplicationoffactor(2),thedefendantwasaleaderinthecommissionoftheoffense.Intheabsenceofanymitigatingfactors,thetrialcourtimposedthemaximumsentencewithinRangeIformurderseconddegreeattwentyfiveyearsintheDepartmentofCorrection. ` Whentheaccusedchallengesthelength,range,ormannerofserviceofasentence,thisCourthasadutytoconducta denovo reviewofthesentencewitha 0*%( presumptionofcorrectnessthatthedeterminationsmadebythetrialcourtarecorrect.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035401(d).Thispresumptionis conditionedupontheaffirmativeshowingintherecordthatthetrialcourtconsideredthesentencingprinciplesandallrelevantfactsandcircumstances.Statev.Ashby,823S.W.2d166,169(Tenn.1991). 1-0  ` Whenconductinga denovo reviewofasentence,thisCourtmustconsider:(a)the p504 evidence,ifany,receivedatthetrialandsentencinghearing;(b)thepresentencereport;(c)theprinciplesofsentencingandargumentsastosentencingalternatives;(d)thenature 0948 andcharacteristicsofthecriminalconductinvolved;(e)anystatutorymitigatingorenhancementfactors;(f)anystatementmadebythedefendantregardingsentencing;and(g)thepotentialorlackofpotentialforrehabilitationortreatment.Statev.Smith,735 p S.W.2d859,863(Tenn.Crim.App.1987);Tenn.CodeAnn.4035102,103,210. ` Fromareviewoftherecord,thetrialcourtfollowedthesentencingprinciplesoftheTennesseeCriminalSentencingReformActof1989,thusthisreviewis denovo witha @  presumptionofcorrectness.Aspartofhisargument,thedefendantcontendsthatthetrialcourtshouldhaveappliedthefollowingmitigatingfactors:(4)thedefendantplayedaminorroleinthecommissionoftheoffense;and(10)thedefendantassistedtheauthoritiesinlocatingandrecoveringthegunandstolenproperty.Tenn.CodeAnn.4035113(4)and(10).Fromourreviewoftherecord,wehavebeenunabletofindanyevidenceinsupportoffactor(10),Tenn.CodeAnn.4035113.IndenyingtheStatesrequesttoapplyenhancementfactor(2),Tenn.CodeAnn.4035114,namely,thatthedefendantwasaleaderinthecommissionoftheoffense,thetrialcourtfoundtheevidencewasnotclearastowhichofthethreedefendantswasthe leaderoftheoffense.However,theevidencewasclearthat therewassubstantialinvolvementbyallofthedefendants.Thus,thetrialcourtwasnotinerrorforfailingtoapplymitigatingfactor(4),Tenn.CodeAnn.4035113. ` Thetrialcourtfoundthatthedefendantwasanoffenderwhoserecordofcriminalactivityisextensive.SeeTenn.CodeAnn.4035115(b)(2)(1997).Therecordofthe ,`'* defendantspriorcriminalhistoryandbehaviorisuncontrovertedandmorethanadequatelysupportsthetrialcourtsconclusion.Thesentenceimposedbythetrialcourtreasonablyrelatestotheseverityofthisoffenseandwasnecessarytoprotectsocietyfromthedefendantscriminalactivity.Statev.Wilkerson,905S.W.2d933,938(Tenn.1995).If 3.2 appellatereviewreflectsthatthetrialcourtproperlyconsideredallrelevantfactorsanditsfindingsoffactareadequatelysupportedintherecord,thisCourtmustaffirmthesentence,
